A bold, modern musical about love, marriage, and the fear of being alone

City Repertory Theatre invites you to audition for Company, the groundbreaking musical by George Furth and Stephen Sondheim. Known for its sharp wit, emotional depth, and iconic score, Company explores relationships through a series of vignettes centered on one man’s journey through love, commitment, and self-discovery.

Sunday, May 31 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Monday, June 1 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

About the Show

On the night of his 35th birthday, Robert, still single among a group of married friends, reflects on his life, relationships, and the idea of commitment. Through a series of dinners, conversations, and encounters, his friends offer insight into the realities of marriage, forcing Robert to confront his own fears of both commitment and loneliness.


A trailblazer of the modern musical, Company blends dark comedy with emotional honesty and features one of Stephen Sondheim’s most celebrated scores.

Audition Requirements

  • Prepare two songs, including one from Company
  • Bring sheet music in the correct key if applicable
  • Be prepared for possible movement at callbacks
  • Wear or bring comfortable clothing

We are seeking performers with:

Rehearsal Expectations

Rehearsals will begin in August. A detailed schedule will be provided after casting.
